I gotta study abroad. It's never too late, methinks. Even if it's à la Christine on an extended work/stay/study afar, après college (or well after, in my case). Thanks for the inspiration, Anne.
Living abroad is a great experience and definitely opens your eyes to a whole new way of life. In my case, I loved the new culture, food, and people, but it also made me very grateful to live where I do.
That's a good thing - to be reminded of what's great about where you live, and to be grateful for it. I guess if I live abroad for at least a little while I might come home with some of the same sentiments, if I'm lucky. Or, I also think it would be nice to move afar permanently. I don't know. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens (:
While I didn't fully appreciate being stuck in Paris last spring, I was blown away by how senselessly lovely it is at that time of year. Just fantastic. What I wouldn't give to spend one complete, consecutive set of all four seasons there though. One day!
i agree - never too late!! Living abroad is a totally different experience!
ReplyDeleteWhere there's a will, there's a way. Or so they say, right? And I've definitely got the will. Just trying to sort out the way (:
